Donations to support the project can be made by contributing to his research group at the university, and can be tax-deductible in the US or Canada.
New (July 2013)! We're testing out the ability to accept donations by Bitcoin. Feel free to give it a try at bitcoin:14Tyk13ELKcRaJe1CfZE8f58QcBHfeV1tQ?label=OTR [QR code] (it's not tax deductible, however).

Use the University of Waterloo's online donation form.
Fill in the following in the form:
What area would you like to support?: Other Faculty, College, or University Projects
Area of Giving: Other Projects (this will turn the "Project (Fund)" pulldown into a text entry box)
Project (Fund): type Ian Goldberg's research group in CS into the text box
% Amount: 100
After you have made your donation (thanks!), send us email to let us know the amount. That way, we can tell the university donations people to watch for it and send it to us, and we know it's for OTR.
Getting a US tax receipt has to be done using a paper form, unfortunately. See the University of Waterloo's Gifts from the United States page for details.
Use the paper donation form.
Under "3. Gift Designation", fill in:
Designation: Ian Goldberg's Research Group in CS
Send the form to:
Friends of University of Waterloo Foundation
Note: this is not the address printed on the form! You need to send it to the Virginia address to get a US tax receipt.
After you have made your donation (thanks!), send us email to let us know that you've done it. That way, we can tell the university donations people to watch for it and send it to us, and we know it's for OTR.
|Too clunky to bother with? Let us know, and we'll try to get the donations people to make something simpler!|
